Company "X" wishes to analyze the performance characteristics of a standard size tray as it relates to a Medical, Microwavable, Food, or Industrial Carrier application. For each application, there is a variety of monolayer or coextruded structure options, which yield different performance characteristics. The performance results are given below. The standard tray size is 5" L x 5" W x 1" H with a starting material gauge of 20 mils.

Material Yield, expressed as Square Inches per Pound, is calculated using the following formula:
    27.69/(Specific Gravity * Mil Gauge)
Specific Gravity = Mass per unit volume divided by one gram per cc (water) @ 4°C.
OXTR = Rate of Oxygen Transmission @ 50% Relative Humidity & 75°F in grams cc's per mil per 100 sq in per day @ atmospheric conditions.
MVTR = Rate of Moisture- Vapor Transmission @ 90% Relative Humidity & 95°F in grams per mil per day per 100 sq in
Sterilization Techniques-
    Aseptic Form/Fill/Seal
    Autoclave: 250°F for 20-30 minutes
    Gamma Irradiation: 1.5 to 3.0 megarad dosage levels
    E Beam: Electronic beam sterilization
    ETO Ethylene Oxide gas sterilization
